If you want to clean your own windows, here are tips for getting good results.
- Use the right equipment — a shower squeegee isn’t the right tool for the job.
- Get a window cleaning strip washer and various-sized window cleaning squeegees from a janitorial supply company.
- Pay close attention to the squeegee rubber. The more glass you clean, the faster the rubber will wear out. If there are nicks or wearing on the edges, the blade should be replaced. Otherwise it will leave streaks and smears on the glass.
